The Number One Website for Finding Bands and Musicians

One of the hardest challenges for new musicians is securing their spot in a band or group of musicians. It seems to be like the tight end of the funnel where getting your first experience is hard, but things seem to smooth out and get easier as time passes. In the past few years, I have worked with many websites, agencies and social media platforms in order to find my ideal bands and musicians to work with. Even though I have my own professional music projects and songs I am working on, I do take the pleasure of joining other bands and meeting up with new musicians for their projects in order to keep myself inspired and motivated.

I want to introduce to you the website that has brought me the best opportunities for finding bands and musicians:

BANDMIX.COM

My membership for this website has always been free (even though they have paid memberships too). Within the last 3 years that I have had a profile at Bandmix, I have received SO MANY messages from legit musicians and bands who seemed different positions, without me really doing much!

So the secret is to set up your profile properly and leave it so that musicians reach out to you. This method will save you a lot of time.

In the process of setting up your profile, be as clear as possible. This means to take care of the following:

  • Write a short and friendly bio about yourself and what opportunities you are looking forward to

  • Have some professional and up to date headshots of yourself

  • Have some sample videos of your performance

  • Link any audio files that you may have created before

  • List your interest of genres and what instruments and musicians you are seeking

Once you set up your profile. Leave it be and the local musicians around you will send you messages. The algorithm of this website is very outstanding. Make sure you respond to your messages quickly as this will make the algorithm favour you over late responders in the future.

I hope this website brings you new opportunities on your musical journey.

What are your favourite ways to find bands and musicians to collaborate with?
